Subscribe now to Orchestra Miami's Family Fun Concert Series, sponsored by Nicklaus Children's Urgent Care Center! These five fabulous concerts are designed to introduce your family to the classical arts through music. All concerts are on Sunday afternoons at 3 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, 33156. Come early for the instrument petting zoo provided by Allegro Music and stay after for free juice and cookies! There is on-site free parking- all tickets are general admission and valid for 5 events.
-Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 at 3 PM- Mozart's Magnificent Voyage! Young Karl Mozart goes on a magical journey with his famous father Wolfgang Amadeus, and learns about his extraordinary life as a child prodigy while exploring the common bonds they both share. Performed by Orchestra Miami, conducted by Elaine Rinaldi and 2 actors.
-Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 at 3 PM- Lets Dance! Learn about the beautiful world of dance with students from the New World School of the Arts and the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet.
-Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 at 3 PM- The Amazing Adventures of Alvin Allegretto In the town of Harmony, everybody sings... everybody, that is, except Alvin Allegretto. His parents take him to see one expert after another to find a cure for his strange condition but only Alvin, with the help of the audience, can find the answer. An opera by Bruce Adolphe & Sarah Schlesinger, performed by 5 professional singers accompanied by musicians from Orchestra Miami.
-Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 3 PM- Carnival! Let's learn about and celebrate Carnival through the different cultures which celebrate! Enjoy the music and dance from Brazil, Trinidad, New Orleans and more!
-Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 3 PM- The Purple Palace: In the land of Chromatika, al is color and light until Princess Purple decrees that everything should be purple! Learn about diversity, colors, democracy and tolerance in this beautiful and charming piece by Bruce Adolphe. Also on the program, Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Daniel Dorff. [View less]
